Throughout this Congress, Chair Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
RED OAK, Iowa – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Chair of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: Orange City Family Animal Care of Sioux County. Throughout the 119th Congress, Chair Ernst plans to recognize a small business in each of Iowa’s 99 counties.
“Orange City Family Animal Care has built a legacy of community service and going a whisker above to get the job done,” said Chair Ernst. “When your furry friend is having a ruff day, they provide a warm smile and high-quality care. It is all paws on deck when it comes to their purrfect mission.”
Established in 1984 by Dr. Dave Bomgaars as Orange City Veterinary Clinic, the practice later became part of Pipeline Veterinary Services. In 2023, Dr. Laura Vander Stelt purchased the companion animal portion, now known as Orange City Family Animal Care. Since then, the clinic has expanded to a 10-person team and is building a larger facility downtown. The clinic gives back to the community by supporting local schools and youth programs, as well as donating pet oxygen masks to local fire departments, creating a lasting paw print across Sioux County.
Stay tuned as Chair Ernst continues to recognize outstanding Iowa small businesses across the state with her Small Business of the Week award.
