KWWL: Joni Ernst encouraging people to work together to protect older and fellow Iowans from COVID-19

As the coronavirus continues to spread across the country and around the world, Senator Joni Ernst is reminding Iowans to protect those around them.

In her weekly newsletter, she encouraged people to listen to experts and take commonsense steps to limit the spread of COVID-19. She said people of all ages and health conditions can carry the virus and inadvertently spread it, which makes it serious.

Senator Ernst also pointed to vulnerable family members, friends and neighbors who are senior citizens or have underlying health conditions.

"We will all play an important role in keeping Iowa healthy and in preventing this virus from spreading. Let’s all take this seriously and each do our part to look out for one another." -Senator Joni Ernst
