With Ernst’s Leadership, Senate Promotes Over 400 Servicemembers

Will Continue Work to Reverse Biden Admin’s Unlawful Abortion Policy

WASHINGTON – Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), a combat veteran and member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement now that over 400 servicemembers have been promoted because of her leadership:

“As a combat veteran, I am proud of my work to strengthen our national security and provide certainty for our hardworking and dedicated servicemen and women, whose military promotions can now move forward. While the world is imploding due to a weak Commander-in-Chief, our servicemembers must have the leadership needed to ensure they are ready to protect the homeland, counter our adversaries, and keep Americans safe. My fight for life is never over, that’s why I will keep working to reverse the Biden administration’s unlawful, immoral abortion policy and ensure our military is protecting innocent lives at home and abroad.”

Background:

Since Biden’s Pentagon announced it would pay for the travel expenses of servicemembers and their dependents to receive an abortion, Ernst has led the charge in calling on the Biden administration to end this policy and worked to reverse it through legislation.
