Ranking Member Ernst Questions SOCOM Leaders on Efforts to Sustain Readiness, Adapt to Future Challenges

WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), the ranking member on the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities (ETC) and a combat veteran, questioned Special Operations Command (SOCOM) leaders on their efforts to ensure the men and women under their commands are organized, trained, and equipped to compete and win against ever evolving terrorist regimes and our strategic competitors.

Preservation of the Force and Families (POTFF)

Ernst noted the subcommittee’s consistent support of the Preservation of the Force and Family Program (POTFF) and the positive results of this program among troops and their families. Ernst asked SOCOM leaders about the impact of their work to modernize the program and its future.
