Preservation of the Force and Families (POTFF)
Ernst noted the subcommittee’s consistent support of the Preservation of the Force and Family Program (POTFF) and the positive results of this program among troops and their families. Ernst asked SOCOM leaders about the impact of their work to modernize the program and its future.

Irregular Warfare
Ernst referred to testimony from earlier this year about the increase in asymmetric warfare by our adversaries in an effort to undermine longstanding U.S. conventional advantages. She noted the importance of special operations forces (SOF) which are uniquely suited to operate in the irregular warfare domain.
