WASHINGTON – In case you missed it, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) is exposing the true cost of Schumer’s Shutdown Shenanigans after requesting a full accounting from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office.
Every workday that the government is closed because of Democrats’ political games, taxpayers will be forced to foot a $400 million bill to pay the 750,000 “non-essential” federal employees to sit at home and not work. On workday six, the total cost has already hit $2.4 billion.
