WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), a combat veteran and member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, noted Israel is under attack not only from Iran and its terror proxies but also within the halls of Congress.
Ernst highlighted her ongoing support for Israel as co-chair of the Abraham Accords Caucus, and her measure in this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to improve security efforts in the Middle East.

As co-chair of the Abraham Accords Caucus, Ernst had the opportunity to meet directly with President Herzog following his address.
To bring peace and prosperity to Israel and the Middle East, Ernst is leading the bipartisan, bicameral Maritime Architecture and Response to International Terrorism in the Middle East (MARITIME) Act which requires the Department of Defense to develop a strategy with partners and allies in the Middle East to counter maritime threats posed by Iran, violent extremist organizations, and criminal networks.
