Ernst Names Small Business of the Week, Granny’s Iowa Market

Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.

RED OAK, Iowa – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: Granny’s Iowa Market of Wright County. Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.

“By specializing in Iowa products, Granny’s Iowa Market showcases the best of what our state has to offer while serving as a valuable source of fresh food in Wright County,” said Ranking Member Ernst. “From Tim’s military service to the entire family’s involvement in the Scouts, the Hamiltons are committed to making a positive impact and going the extra mile for their community. I look forward to watching their continued success in North Iowa and beyond.”

In 2018, Dawn and Tim Hamilton founded Granny’s Iowa Market to bring fresh foods and locally-sourced products to Clarion, Iowa. The small business offers meat, cheese, baked goods, and wines from Iowa, Wisconsin, and South Dakota. In addition to food, they also offer soaps, lotions, candles, and greeting cards from other small businesses. The Hamiltons work hard to give back to the Clarion community. Tim served in the Iowa Air National Guard and the entire family is actively involved in Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. Granny’s Iowa Market is a proud member of the Clarion Development Alliance, and the team will celebrate its sixth business anniversary in 2024.

Stay tuned as Ranking Member Ernst recognizes more Iowa small businesses across the state with her Small Business of the Week award.
