Ernst Names Small Business of the Week, Delzell Brothers

Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.

RED OAK, Iowa – U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: Delzell Brothers of Louisa County. Throughout this Congress, Ranking Member Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties. 

“Delzell Brothers’ longstanding commitment to providing customers with quality cars and auto repair services in Southeastern Iowa embodies the American entrepreneurial spirit,” said Ranking Member Ernst. “I’m proud to recognize the Delzell family and the entire team at Delzell Brothers for over 90 years of dedication to their business, their customers, and their community.”

Founded in 1931 by Lawrence “Tut” Delzell, Delzell Brothers is a family-owned car dealership and auto service-repair shop that offers both new and used cars, car parts, and a car service center for customers in the broader Southeastern Iowa region. Over 90 years and four generations, Delzell Brothers has focused on developing personal relationships and maintaining a laid-back environment with customers to establish their success in their hometown of Wapello. The Delzell Brothers’ team is consistently active in the Louisa County community, a proud supporter of local Little League teams, and a sponsor for the Morning Sun 4th of July celebration.
