Ernst: Defense Bill Provides Servicemembers with Much-Needed Resources

WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), a combat veteran and chairman of the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Emerging Threats & Capabilities, applauded the bipartisan passage of this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Ernst thanked Senate Armed Services Chairman, Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK), for his leadership and emphasized the importance of the bill, which includes a pay-raise for our troops and supports the needs of our special operators. She also highlighted her provisions that were included in the final bill to expand support for victims of military sexual assault and domestic violence.
